Medical Disclaimer
Understand what MyPariva can help you track, what its estimates mean, and when to seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
What you should know
MyPariva is a menstrual health tracking and wellbeing platform. It helps you record cycle information, observe personal patterns, and access general educational information. It is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical care. Cycle and fertility estimates may be inaccurate, and should not be used to diagnose a condition, make treatment decisions, or prevent pregnancy.
1. General information only
MyPariva provides menstrual cycle tracking, personal logging tools, wellbeing features, and general health education. Information displayed by the platform is intended for informational and personal tracking purposes only.
MyPariva does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or individualised clinical advice. Using the platform does not establish a doctor–patient relationship with MyPariva.
MyPariva is not registered or approved as a medical device by any regulatory authority, and it is not a diagnostic tool.
2. Cycle predictions are estimates
Predicted period dates, cycle phases, fertile windows, and ovulation dates are estimates based on the period history and cycle details you enter, using calculations from your logged data. They are never 100% accurate.
Actual cycles may vary because of natural variation and factors such as:
- irregular or unpredictable cycles
- stress or emotional upheaval
- illness or surgery
- hormonal changes, including perimenopause
- hormonal contraception (pill, IUD, injection) or other medication
- pregnancy or breastfeeding
- travel or time-zone changes
- rapid weight changes or extreme exercise
- underlying health conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
Predictions may be inaccurate or may not reflect what is happening in your body. A predicted date is not a confirmed biological event. Do not rely on these estimates alone to make important medical or reproductive health decisions.
3. Fertility and contraception
MyPariva is not a method of contraception. Its fertile window and ovulation estimates are not a guarantee of when pregnancy can or cannot occur.
Do not use MyPariva alone, or as your primary method, to prevent pregnancy or to decide that unprotected sex is safe. Calendar-based predictions cannot reliably establish that a day is infertile.
If you wish to prevent pregnancy, talk to a qualified healthcare professional about contraceptive options that suit you. If you are trying to conceive or have questions about fertility, seek appropriate medical advice.
4. Not a substitute for medical care
Health articles and predictions do not replace personalised medical advice from a qualified doctor. Do not delay or avoid professional medical assessment because of information shown by MyPariva.
Consult a qualified healthcare professional about persistent cycle irregularities, unusually heavy bleeding, severe menstrual pain, missed periods, unexpected bleeding, or symptoms that concern you. Section 10 explains when to seek care, including symptoms that need urgent attention.
MyPariva cannot determine whether a symptom is harmless or needs treatment.
5. Health conditions and individual differences
Menstrual experiences vary between individuals. Information about typical cycle phases, symptoms, mood, or wellbeing does not mean that every person will experience the same pattern.
MyPariva cannot diagnose polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, hormonal disorders, infertility, pregnancy, or any other medical condition.
Your records, including a Doctor Report you choose to download, may help you describe patterns to a healthcare professional. They do not replace examination, laboratory testing, or clinical assessment when these are needed.
6. Educational content and external sources
Health articles and other educational content are intended for general awareness and understanding. They are not personalised medical advice or a treatment plan. Do not make clinical decisions, including changes to medication, treatment, or diet, based on this content alone; talk to your doctor first.
Medical knowledge and recommendations change over time. Where content lists its sources, consult the original sources for more detail.
External websites linked from MyPariva have their own content, privacy practices, and terms, which MyPariva does not control.
7. Mood tracking and personal observations
Mood check-ins, symptom logs, notes, and other wellbeing records are your own observations, not clinical assessments.
Patterns that MyPariva shows you, including Health Signals, are general, non-clinical prompts based on what you have logged. They do not establish that hormonal changes caused a particular emotion or symptom, and individual experiences vary.
Seek professional support when physical or emotional symptoms persist, interfere with daily life, or cause you concern.
8. Information accuracy and service availability
Please enter information as accurately as you reasonably can. Incorrect, incomplete, or outdated records affect the usefulness of cycle estimates and other information shown to you.
The service may experience interruptions, technical errors, or changes. MyPariva is not an emergency or monitoring service and must not be treated as a guaranteed source of medically accurate predictions.
9. Privacy and sharing
MyPariva is designed to help you manage your menstrual health information and control what reaches the people you trust. Your cycle history, moods, symptoms, and notes are not shown to supporters.
Supporters you add receive general care reminders only after they consent. These reminders do not include exact period dates, sensitive cycle details, mood scores, symptom logs, or raw health data, and you choose which reminder types are turned on.
Our Privacy Policy is the authoritative explanation of how personal data is collected, used, stored, and shared, including the service providers involved.
10. When to seek medical care
MyPariva is not designed to assess symptoms or medical emergencies, and it cannot tell you how serious a symptom is. If you have severe symptoms, seek medical care rather than waiting for an app prediction or response.
